AI connectors (MCP) & API keys
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI agent, with only the permissions you approve.
WorkOfficially runs an MCP server (Model Context Protocol), so your AI assistant can work on WorkOfficially as you: find jobs, draft proposals, post jobs and rank candidates. It acts with exactly the permissions you grant, and no tool can move money.
Server URL: https://mcp.workofficially.com/mcp
Connect
- Claude (claude.ai, desktop, mobile) - Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Name it WorkOfficially and paste the server URL. Claude sends you to workofficially.com to sign in and approve; there is no key to copy.
- ChatGPT - Settings, Connectors (or Apps), add an MCP server with the same URL and OAuth sign-in.
- Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and other tools - use the URL with an API key from Settings › API keys (shown once), or let the tool open the sign-in itself.
Permissions (scopes)
Reading is always included. Every kind of change is its own permission, and you pick which ones:
read- your jobs, proposals, contracts, earnings, time diary, inbox, notifications and reputation; search jobs and talent; draft text with AI.jobs:write- create, publish and close jobs, shortlist proposals and invite freelancers.proposals:write- submit and withdraw proposals (Credits are spent exactly as on the site).messages:write- send messages (the same contact rules and blocks apply).profile:write- update your headline, overview, rate and availability.
There is no permission for payments, escrow, contract signatures, offers, identity verification or withdrawals, so no AI tool can ask for one.
See and remove access
Every AI tool you connected is listed at Settings › Connected apps with its recent calls. Disconnecting ends its access at once. The full, live list of tools is on the MCP page.
