Your Family ID

Every WorkOfficially account has one Family ID. It is created with your account, it never changes, and it is the same number in every Officially product you use. It looks like this:

WO-FMLY-3FF7MBQZ8RWO6 (an example; every ID is different)

What it is for

• Support finds you in one step - quote it and we have the right account at once.
• Your history stays yours - change your name, handle, email or country and the account underneath is provably the same.
• One account to secure - one password and one two-step setup, instead of a set per product.

What it is not

• Not public - it is not on your profile and no client ever sees it.
• Not a key - it identifies an account and unlocks nothing. It is not a password, a payment reference or a recovery code, which is why it is safe to give to support.
• Not a sign-up - having an ID does not join you to any product, and nothing is charged unless you choose it.

Easy to read out

The random part never uses 0, 1, I, L, O or U (the characters people mix up). Two letters then say which product issued the ID (WO for WorkOfficially), and the last character is a check worked out from the rest, so a mistyped ID is rejected instead of matching someone else.
